About Me

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. Please be sure also to check out the Tag Gallery and see some of the awesome results to the tutorials!

In this tutorial I used the tube “Mysteries of the Forest” from
Katharine.
This is a beautiful tube with some lovely options and can be purchased at

The matching kit “Mysteries of the Forest” is by

You will need png mask 316 from

Font of choice.

I used a drop shadow of vertical 0, horizontal 5, opacity 65, blur 10.

Open a new transparent canvas 750 by 750 pixels and fill with white.

Paste the mask and resize it 75%, select all, float and defloat, make a new layer, paste paper 5 into the selection, deselect and delete the original black mask layer.

Paste my mask, resize 80% then repeat as above and move to the masks into place.

Paste element 6, resize 42%, click anywhere on your canvas outside of the element to make a selection, invert the selection and contract it by 10, make a new layer below the element and paste paper 5 into the selection, deselect, apply the shadow to the element, merge it down onto the paper and move into place.

Paste the tube, resize 28%, position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 85, resize 45%, position below the merged window and apply the shadow.

Paste element 83, resize 37%, position above the merged window and apply the shadow.

Paste element 9, resize 35%, position below element 85 and apply the shadow.

Paste element 11, resize 30%, position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 23, resize 40%, position below both clock faces and apply the shadow.

Paste element 69, resize 70%, duplicate, resize one copy another 70% and mirror it, position and apply the shadow to each.

Paste element 87, resize 30%, duplicate three times, position two copies at the top, one on the right above the clock face and one showing below the window and apply the shadow to each.

Paste element 59, resize 35%, duplicate, flip one copy and position below the clock on the left, duplicate the original copy again, mirror it and position above the clock, apply the shadow to each.

Paste element 77, resize 20% and mirror, position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 13, resize 20%, position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 107, resize 30% and mirror, position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 80, resize 27%, position and apply the shadow.
