About Me

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. Please be sure also to check out the Tag Gallery and see some of the awesome results to the tutorials!

In this tutorial I used the tube “Princess of Darkness 2” from
You can purchase the tube at

The kit is “Darkness Divine” from
This is a fantastic kit and can be purchased at

You will need the png version of my  mask

Font of choice.

I used a drop shadow of vertical 0, horizontal 5, opacity 85, blur 10.

Open a new transparent canvas 900 by 800 pixels and fill with white.

Paste my mask, resize it 60% and move over to the left.

Paste frame 2 and resize 40%.  Select the interior of the frame with your magic wand and expand the selection by 10, make a new layer below it and paste paper 2 into the selection, paste the tube, resize 60%, position in the frame, invert the selection and hit delete, deselect.  Apply the drop shadow to the frame, change the blend mode on the tube to “Overlay”, close off your white background and mask layers and merge visible, open the closed layers and move the merged layer into place.

Paste element  126, resize 45%, duplicate, merge the copy down onto the original, place in position, apply the drop shadow and merge down onto the merged frame layer.

Paste element  113, resize 20%, place in position, apply the drop shadow and again merge down onto the merged frame layer.

Paste element  118, resize 75%, mirror and position below the merged layer.

Paste element  130, resize 60%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element  85,  resize 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element  77, resize 90% and move into place.

Paste element  37,  resize 70% and move into place.

Paste element  70, resize 40%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element  47, resize 70% and mirror, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element  123 above the merged frame layer, resize 60%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste the tube again, resize 22%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element  86, resize 45%, duplicate, position below the merged frame layer and apply the drop shadow to each.

Paste element  2, resize 60%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element  1, resize 15%, position below the tube and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element  37 again, resized 50%, mirror and move into place.

Paste element  18, resize 25%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.
