About Me

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. Please be sure also to check out the Tag Gallery and see some of the awesome results to the tutorials!

In this tutorial I used the tube “Catherine” from
Catherine comes with several colour option and can be purchased at

The matching kit, also called “Catherine” is from
Tiny Turtle Designs.
This is a truly stunning kit which can be found at

You will need mask 851 by
(I used the png version)
and mask frame 1 from

Font of choice.

I used a drop shadow of vertical 0. Horizontal 5, opacity 75, blur 10.

Be sure to sharpen the kit elements up after resizing to keep their beauty.  The best way to do this is to use Unsharp Mask effect, more info on my Tips & Tricks page.

Open a new transparent canvas 750 by 750 pixels and fill with white.

Paste Rachel’s mask,  resize it 60% and mirror it, select all, float and defloat this mask and paste paper 28 into the selection, deselect.  Duplicate, mirror the copy and resize it 80%.

Paste the Kopona mask and resize it 90%, select all, float and defloat the mask, make a new layer, paste paper 32 into the selection, deselect, delete the original black mask layer, duplicate the paper layer and merge the copy down onto the original.  Move all three mask layers into place.

Paste element  199 and resize it 45%.  Click anywhere on your canvas outside of the element with your magic wand to make a selection, invert the selection and contract it by 15, make a layer below the element and paste paper 8 into the selection, deselect. apply the drop shadow to the frame, merge it down onto the paper and move into place.

Paste element 233, resize 35%, position behind  the merged layer and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 6, resize 30% and rotate 90 degrees to the right, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element  285, resize 35%, mirror and flip, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element  84 on the top, resize 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element  2, resize 30% and duplicate, mirror one copy and position on the bottom, right hand corner of the merged layer, rotate the second copy 90 degrees to the right and position on the top, left hand corner, apply the drop shadow to each.

Paste element  4, resize 37%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element  8, resize 35%, duplicate, mirror one copy, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element  288, resize 33%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element  54, resize 15% and mirror, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste the tube, resize 28%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element  272, resize 27%, position behind the tube and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element  296, resize 10%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element  276, resize 18%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element  101, resize 20% and mirror, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element  87, resize 27%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element  273, resize 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element  144, resize 20% and mirror, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element  90, resize 12%, position behind element 144 and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element  138, resize 7%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element  39 on the top, resize 23% and mirror, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element  88, resize 10%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element  143, resize 28%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element  31, resize 10%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element  274, resize 15%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element  271, resize 15%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element  249, resize 13%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.
