About Me

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. Please be sure also to check out the Tag Gallery and see some of the awesome results to the tutorials!

In this tutorial I used the tube 88-3 from

You can purchase the tube at

The kit is “Emerald” from the Birthstone Collection by

You will need my  mask

Font of choice.

I used a drop shadow of vertical 0, horizontal 5 opacity 75, blur 10.

Open a new transparent canvas 750 by 750 pixels and fill with white.

Make a new layer, select all, paste paper 5 into the selection, apply then resize 90% and mirror it.

Paste element 33 and mirror.

Paste element 49, resize 85% and position towards the bottom of the tag.

Paste element  48, resize 50%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element  27, resize 95%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element  21, resize 50%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element  50, resize 48%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste the full size tube, resize 75%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste frame 3, resize 40%, rotate 90 degrees to the right and position behind the tube.  Select the interior of the element with your magic wand and expand the selection by 10, make a new layer below it,  paste paper  6 into the selection and deselect.  we will come back to this.

Paste element  39, resize 30% and flip, position behind the frame/paper and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 49 again above the frame, resize 80% and move into place.

Paste element  58,  resize 50%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element  30, resize 15%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element  38, resize 35%, rotate 90 degrees to the right,  duplicate and flip one copy, place in position and apply the drop shadow to each.

Paste the close up tube, mirror it and change the blend mode to “Hard Light”, position in the frame, select the interior of the frame and expand it as before, invert it and hit delete on the tube, deselect and apply the drop shadow to the frame.

Paste element  22, resize 15%, place in position erasing part of the tail so its behind the frame and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element  23, resize 25% and mirror, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element  7, resize 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element  32, resize 15%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element  8, resize 17%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element  7, resize 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element  9, resize 25%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element  45, resize 20%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element  44, resize 27% and mirror, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element  10, resize 10%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 3, resize 15%, duplicate, mirror the copy, place in position and apply the drop shadow to each.

Paste element  51, resize 10%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.
