About Me

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. Please be sure also to check out the Tag Gallery and see some of the awesome results to the tutorials!

In this tutorial I used the fantastic package 41
comprising three tubes by
and a kit from
available for purchase at

You will need my  mask

Font of choice.

I used a drop shadow vertical 0, horizontal 5, opacity 85, blur 10.

Open a new transparent canvas 700 by 750 pixels and fill with  white.

Make a new layer, select all, paste paper 4 into the selection, deselect, apply the mask and resize 95%.

Paste element 32, mirror, place in position towards the top of the mask and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 18, resize 55%, place in position on the right and apply the drop shadow.

Paste the tube, resize 70%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste frame 4, move into place and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 21, resize 65%, position below the tube, apply the drop shadow and change the blend mode to “Luminance (Legacy)”.

Paste element 40, resize 25%, duplicate and mirror the copy, position the copy on the right below the tube, the original above the frame on the left and apply the drop shadow to each.

Paste element 2, resize 90% and duplicate twice, flip and mirror the top copy and position top/right , position the middle copy to show to the left of the tube, move the original down and to the right and apply the drop shadow to each.

Paste element 38, resize 50%, position below the tube and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 28, resize 40% and mirror, position on the top and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 9, resize 70%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 45, resize 22%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 1,  resize 25%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 35, resize 25%, recolour black, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 43, resize 50%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 36, resize 40%, drag below element 43, duplicate, place one on the right,  the other  further down on the left and apply the drop shadow to each.

Paste element 30, resize 65% and mirror, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 3, resize 40% and mirror, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Check your layers now and make any adjustments, then crop your tag, add your copyright information and text (use your Pick tool to stretch out element 43 wider to fit the text) and export on a transparent background as a png.
