About Me

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. Please be sure also to check out the Tag Gallery and see some of the awesome results to the tutorials!

In this tutorial I used the tube “Lynx Kitten” from
You can purchase the tube at

The kit is “Nature Therapy” from
This is a great kit and can be purchased at

You will need mask 2 from

Font is

I used a drop shadow of vertical 0, horizontal 5, opacity 75, blur 10.

Open a new transparent canvas 700 by 800 and fill with white.

Make a new layer, select all, paste paper 24 into the selection, deselect and apply the mask with the “Invert mask data” box checked.

Paste element 144, resize 70%, erase the bottom of the trunk, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 142, resize 50%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 141, resize 45%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 91, resize 60%, position below element 141 and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 82, resize 40%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste the tube on the top, resize 27%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 138, resize 45%, position behind the tube and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 117, resize 20% and mirror, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 115, resize 20%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 35, resize 15%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 130, resize 20%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 105, resize 10%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 132, resize 40%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 110, resize 15%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 58, resize 23%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 54, resize 35%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 36, resize 12%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 34, resize 15%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 52, resize 17%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 37, resize 15%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 53, resize 15%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 98, resize 7%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 9, resize 15%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 135, resize 20%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 128, resize 10%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Check your layers now.

Paste element 90,  resize 15%, position on the left below the brown can, duplicate, position this copy right over on the right so the small end of it is along the bottom of the fence post, duplicate again, mirror this copy and position just above the tubes feet, apply the drop shadow to each copy.

Paste element 20, resize 10%, duplicate and mirror the copy, place in position and apply the drop shadow to each.

Once again check your layers.

Paste the tube again between the two trees, resize it 90%, mirror, change the blend mode to “Overlay” and move into place.  Activate the mask layer, select all, float and defloat the mask, invert the selection, go back to the new tube layer and hit delete, deselect.    Open your eraser, set the size to 100 and the opacity to 20 and just work it a little around the edge of the tube to blend it in.

Paste element 146 above the tube, resize 45% and mirror, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

When you are all done, crop your tag, add your copyright information and text and export on a transparent background as a png.
