About Me

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. Please be sure also to check out the Tag Gallery and see some of the awesome results to the tutorials!

In this tutorial I used the layered tube “Celestial” from
the latest pack 94 by
You can purchase this beautiful girl at

The kit is called “Hush” and is by
The kit is also available at

You will need the “Burning Love” mask 2 from

You will also need the “Color Dot” free filter from
(scroll down a bit and you will see it).

A gradient glow filter if you have one.

Font of choice.

I used a drop shadow of vertical 0, horizontal 5, opacity 55, blur 10.

Open a new transparent canvas 750 by 750 pixels and fill with white.

Paste the mask and resize it 26%.   Select all, float and defloat the mask, make a new layer, paste paper 4 into the selection, deselect, delete the orginal mask layer and apply the Color Dot filter on the default settings to the paper layer.

Paste element 36.

Paste frame 1, resize 45% and move into position.  Select the interior of the frame with your  magic wand, expand the selection by 20, make a new layer below the frame and paste paper 4 into the selection.  Mirror the close up tube and paste it as a new layer, resize 70%,  position in the frame, invert the selection and hit delete, deselect.  Lower the opacity on the tube to around 70, merge it down onto the paper, apply the Color Dot filter as before and apply the drop shadow to the frame.

Paste the wordart, resize 50% and move into place, apply a gradient glow if you  have a filter or apply a white shadow then apply the main black shadow.

Paste the main tube, resize 65%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 33, resize 50%, mirror and rotate 20 degrees to the left, drag below the tube place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 23, resize 55%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 19, resize 45%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 9, resize 25%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 6, resize 25%,  place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 11, resize 25% and mirror, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 13, resize 25%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 40, resize 35%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 37, resize 12%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 34, resize 15%, duplicate, rotate one copy 40 degrees to the right, place in position and apply the drop shadow to each.

Check your layers and make any adjustments, then crop your tag, add your copyright information and text and export your tag on a transparent background as a png.
