About Me

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. Please be sure also to check out the Tag Gallery and see some of the awesome results to the tutorials!

In this tutorial I used the beautiful tube “Winter” from
You can purchase the tube at

The kit is “Newsprint Echoes” from
and you can purchase it at

You will need my mask

You will also need the mask

Font of choice.

I used a soft drop shadow of vertical 0, horizontal 5, opacity 55, blur 10.

Open a new transparent canvas 700 by 800 pixels and fill with white.  Make a new layer, select all, paste paper 32 into the selection, deselect and apply the mask.

Paste element 32, resize 30%, place in position and change the blend mode to “Soft light”.

Paste element 6, resize 30% and rotate 40 degrees to the left, place in position and change the blend mode to “Soft Light”.

Paste element 115, resize 35%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste the main tube, resize 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 161, resize 55%, drag below the tube,  place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 101, resize 50%, duplicate and resize the copy another 90%, place in position and apply the drop shadow to each.

Copy the close up tube and paste it “As a new image” then mirror it and resize it 35% with the box “Resize all layers” checked, apply the 20.20 mask and paste it on your canvas behind the main tube.   Duplicate this masked tube, on the original copy go to Adjust – Blur – Gaussian Blur and apply with the Radius set to 5 and lower the opacity of the top copy to around 65.

Paste element 137, resize 20% and position on the left, duplicate and position this copy just to the right of the tube, duplicate again, rotate this copy 90 degrees to the left and move it further to the right.

Paste element 163, resize 40%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 93, resize 40%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 73, resize 25%, position below the car and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 74 on the top, resize 17%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 79, resize 12%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.
Paste element 68, resize 15%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 51, resize 15%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 23, resize 12%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 34, resize 12%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Check your layers now and make any adjustments, then crop your tag, add your copyright information and text and export on a transparent background as a png.
