About Me

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. In this tutorial I used the tube “Steampunk 12” from

I used a drop shadow of vertical 0, horizontal 5, opacity 75, blur 10.



Open a new transparent canvas 750 by 800 pixels and fill with white.

Make a new layer, select all, paste paper 31 into the selection, deselect, apply the mask and resize 85%.

Paste element 73, resize 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 130, resize 40% and mirror, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 131, resize 35%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste frame 9, resize 45% and place in position.   Select the interior of the frame with your magic wand, expand the selection by 10, make a new layer below it and paste paper 27 into the selection, deselect, apply the drop shadow to the frame and merge it down onto the paper.

Paste element 78, resize 12%, duplicate, place in position and apply the drop shadow to each.

Paste the tube, resize 33%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 33, resize 28%, drag below the tube, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 112, resize 17%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 75, resize 15%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 50, resize 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 11, resize 20%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 111, resize 20%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 58, resize 23%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 60, resize 20%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 9, resize 8%, duplicate and mirror the copy, position the original on the top and the copy on element 60 and apply the drop shadow to each.

Paste element 32, resize 15%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 27 below the top skull, resize 13%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 22, resize 13%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 51, resize 20%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 44, resize 10%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Check your layer and make any adjustments, then crop your tag, add your copyright and text and export on a transparent background as a png.
