About Me

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. Please be sure also to check out the Tag Gallery and see some of the awesome results to the tutorials!

In this tutorial I use tube “Christmas Ball 2” from
You can purchase the tube at

The kit is “Deep Gold Holiday” from
This kit can be found at

You will need Christmas Mask 2 from

Font of choice.

I used a drop shadow of vertical 0, horizontal 5, opacity 75, blur 10.

Open a new transparent canvas 700 by 800 and fill with white.

Paste the mask and resize it 60%.  Select all, float and defloat the mask, make a new layer and paste paper 2 into the selection and deselect, delete the original black mask layer and move the paper mask up towards to the top of the canvas.

Paste element 125, resize 45%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 76, resize 35% and apply the drop shadow.  Paste element 84, resize 20% and duplicate, position on the post erasing the bits that stick out each side, apply the drop shadow to each, merge the top copy down onto the bottom copy, merge down again onto the post and move into position.

Paste element 72, resize 45%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 80, resize 40%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste the tube, resize 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 131, resize 45%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 133, resize 55%, mirror and position behind element 131.

Paste element 133 again on the top, resize 50% and position along the front of the words.  Duplicate, resize the copy another 80% and move it down.

Paste element 6, resize 13%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 7, resize 15%, position below the word element and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 34, resize 30%, position just above the word and apply the drop shadow.

Position element 3, on the top, resize 20%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 112, resize 25%, position between the two top copies of the snow and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 44, resize 18%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 86, resize 10%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 59, resize 8%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 60, resize 10% and rotate 20 degrees to the left, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 106, resize 12%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 83 on the top, resize 25% and place in position.

Check your layers and make any adjustments, then crop your tag, add you copyright information and text and export on a transparent background as a png.
