About Me

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. Please be sure also to check out the Tag Gallery and see some of the awesome results to the tutorials!

In this tutorial I used the beautiful tube “Snow Leopard” from
You can purchase the tube at

I used a beautiful winter kit “Winter Guardian” from
This kit is packed with beautiful elements and papers but
I only used a few as I wanted to keep the tag simple.
You can purchase the kit at

For the animation you will need
Animaton Shop
and my

Font of choice.

I used a drop shadow of vertical 0, horizontal 5, opacity 35, blur 10.

Open a new transparent canvas 750 by 700 pixels and fill with white.

Paste element 118, resize 65% and mirror.

Paste element 77 and resize 50%.

Paste element 76 and resize 70%.  Position these two elements towards the bottom of the tag.

Pate element 110, resize 45%, duplicate, mirror the copy and resize it another 80%, place in position and apply the drop shadow to each.

Paste element 108, resize 40%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 113, resize 35%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 61, resize 65% and mirror, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 48, resize 33%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.  Go back to element 61 and erase the part that shows in the archway and to the left of this element.

Paste element 128, resize 50% and position along the bottom of element 48.

Paste element 18, resize 10%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 107, resize 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste the tube, resize 25%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 64, resize 20%, position below the tube and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 94, resize 20%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 102 on the top, resize 5%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 103, resize 5%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 129, resize 40% and place in position, apply the drop shadow with the box “Shadow on a new layer” ticked and erase the part of shadow that is on the reflection part of the element.

Paste element 78, resize 60% and place in position.

Paste element 14, resize 12%, place in position, apply the drop shadow with the box still ticked and again erase that part from the reflection.

Check your layers and make any adjustments then crop your tag and add your copyright and text.  If you are not continuing with the animation, export your tag on a transparent background as a png.

ANIMATION:

Save your tag with the white background and open it in Animation Shop and also open the snow animation.   You will see the snow animation has 10 frames so duplicate your tag until that also has 10 frames.

Activate the animation and select all the frames, activate the tag and again select all the frames then right click on it, go to “Paste into selected frame”  and paste the animation on the tag.

Run your tag through the Optimization Wizard and save as a gif.
