About Me

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. Please be sure also to check out the Tag Gallery and see some of the awesome results to the tutorials!

I have already used this tube a couple of times, it is a favourite of mine,
you can purchase it at

I used the freebie kit “The Touch of Red, Black and Gold” from
This is a fabulous freebie kit, you can get it

You will need my mask
0036.

Font of choice.

I used a drop shadow of vertical 0, horizontal 5, opacity 85, bur 15.

Open a new transparent canvas 600 by 800 pixels and fill with white.

Make a new layer, select all, paste paper 6 into the selection, deselect and apply the mask.

Paste element 13, resize 115%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 44 and resize it 90%.    Select the interior of each section of the element with your magic wand, expand the section by 5, make a new layer below the element and paste paper 6 into the selection.    Paste the tube, position in the frame, invert the selection, hit delete and deselect.  Apply the drop shadow to the frame, lower the opacity on the tube to around 40 then merge the frame down onto the tube and again down onto the paper.

Paste the tube again, resize 70%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 58, drag below the main tube, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 47, resize 80% and mirror, place in position and apply the drop shadow.  If you have any bits of green leaf showing on the element, recolour them black as we don’t have any other green in the tag.

Paste element 37, resize 60%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

paste element 33 on the top, resize 75%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 24, resize 40% and rotate 30 degrees to the left, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 16, resize 20%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 52, resize 40%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 18, resize 40%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 54, resize 25%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 31, resize 18%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 10, resize 15%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Check your layers and make any adjustments.

Paste element 12, resize 25%, duplicate, mirror one copy and then rotate it 90 degrees to the left, place in position and apply the drop shadow to each.

Paste element 40 and place in position.

When you are done, crop your tag, add your copyright information and text and export on a transparent background as a png.
