About Me

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. Please be sure also to check out the Tag Gallery and see some of the awesome results to the tutorials!

Quick and easy tutorial using the art of
You can purchase Eny’s tubes at

The kit is “Stormy” from
This is a really beautiful kit with some lovely elements
and is totally free!

You will need my mask

Font of choice.

I used a drop shadow of vertical 0, horizontal 5, opacity 75, blur 10.

Open a new transparent canvas 750 by 750 pixels and fill with white.

Make a new layer, select all, paste paper 03 into the selection, deselect and apply the mask.

Paste Backdrop E101.

Paste frame 02.  With your freehand selection tool on the settings in my first screenshot below, draw a selection around the frame something like my second screenshot.  Make a new layer below the frame and paste paper 01 into the selection.    Open the tube, mirror it and paste on your canvas, position in the frame, invert the selection and hit delete, deselect.  Change the blend mode on the tube to “Overlay”.  Close off the white background, mask and element background, merge visible then reopen the closed layers.

Undo the mirror on the tube and paste it again on your canvas on the top, resize80%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste Violin E1, resize 60% and rotate 10 degrees to the right, drag below the main tube, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste Wordart 02 on the top, resize 67%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste Raindrops E1, resize 60%, drag below the wordart and place in position erasing any of the lines that show above the wordart and apply the drop shadow.

Paste Tag E101, resize 75%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste Scissor E1, resize 60%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste Flower E102, resize 50%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste Rose E102 on the top, resize 40%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste Butterfly E102, resize 40% and rotate 20 degrees to the left, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Check your  layers now and make any adjustments, then crop your tag (be care not to crop the mask short), add your copyright information and text and export on a transparent background as a png.
