About Me

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. Please be sure also to check out the Tag Gallery and see some of the awesome results to the tutorials!

In this tutorial I used the tube “Skye” from the latest pack 90 from
You can buy this fabulous tube from

I used the kit “Forever” from
The kit can also be purchased from

I used mask 4 from

Font of choice.

I used a drop shadow of vertical 0, horizontal 5, opacity 55, blur 15.

Open a new transparent canvas 750 by 700 pixels and fill with white.

Paste the mask and resize it 33%.  Select all, float and defloat the mask, make a new layer, paste paper 6 into the selection, deselect, delete the original black mask layer, duplicate the paper layer and merge the copy down onto the original.

Paste element 1, resize 95%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 22, resize 55% and move into position.  Select the interior of the element with your magic wand, expand the selection by 5, make a new layer below the element and paste paper 4 into the selection.   Select your layers on the tube, copy merged, paste as a new layer and mirror then copy again and paste on you canvas, resize 80% and position in the frame, invert the selection and hit delete, deselect.  Apply the drop shadow to the frame and the tube and change the blend mode on the tube to “Luminance (Legacy).

Paste element 19, position below element 1 and apply the drop shadow.

Undo the mirror on the tube and paste it again on the top, resize 60%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 9, resize 40%, position below the main tube and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 27, resize 45%, duplicate, mirror the copy, place in position and apply the drop shadow to each.

Paste element 16, resize 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 30, resize 25%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 28 on the top, resize 70% and place in position.

Paste element 17, resize 50%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 11, resize 25% and mirror, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 20, resize 25%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 23, resize 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 24, resize 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Check your layers and make any adjustments, then crop  your tag, add your copyright information and text and export on a transparent background as a png.
