About Me

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. Please be sure also to check out the Tag Gallery and see some of the awesome results to the tutorials!

In this tutorial I used the layered tube “Ginger” from
the latest pack 85 by
You can purchase the tube from

The kit is an inspired by kit for the tube 146-1 by Jennifer Janesko from
and can be purchased at

I used christmas mask 2015 (3) from

Font of choice.

I used a drop shadow of vertical 0, horizontal 5, opacity 65, blur 10.

Open a new transparent canvas 700 by 800 pixels and fill with white.

Paste the mask, resize it 25%, select all, float and defloat the mask, make a new layer and paste paper 4 into the selection, deselect, delete the original black mask layer, duplicate your new mask layer and merge the copy down onto the original.

Paste element 12, resize 90%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste frame 1 and resize 80%.   Select the interior of the frame with your magic wand and expand the selection by 1, make a new layer below the element and paste paper 4 into the selection.  Paste element 11 as a new layer, position in the frame, invert the selection and hit delete to remove the excess, deselect.  Apply the drop shadow to the frame, merge it down onto the element and then again onto the paper and move into position.

Paste the tube, resize 70%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 7, resize 30%, drag below the tube, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 17, resize 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 6, resize 35%, duplicate, place in position and apply the drop shadow to each.

Paste element 4, resize 45%, , duplicate, mirror the copy, place in position and apply the drop shadow to each.

Paste element 23, resize 55%, duplicate, mirror the copy, place in position and apply the drop shadow to each.

Paste element 14, resize 35%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 1, resize 25% and duplicate, bring one copy to the top, place in position and apply the drop shadow to each.

Paste element 16, resize 35%, drag below the tube, duplicate, mirror the copy, place in position and apply the drop shadow to each.

Paste element 22, drag above the tube, resize 40%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 10 on the top, resize 40%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 5, resize 25%, duplicate, mirror the copy and resize it another 90%, place in position and apply the drop shadow to each.

Paste element 2, resize 22%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 3, resize 22% and rotate 50 degrees to the right, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 18, resize 30%. Place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Check your layers and make any adjustments, then crop your tag, add your copyright information and text and export on a transparent background as a png.
