About Me

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. Please be sure also to check out the Tag Gallery and see some of the awesome results to the tutorials!

Another tutorial using this dachshund tube from
You can purchase this cutie at

I used one of my favourite kits “Hush of Winter” from
This is my second tutorial with this kit also,
which was a bonus kit last year and can now be purchased at
I used winter mask 1 from

Font is

I used a drop shadow of vertical 0, horizontal 5, opacity 45, blur 10.

Open a new transparent canvas 750 by 750 pixels and fill with white.

Make a new layer, select all, paste paper 11 into the selection, deselect and apply the mask.

Paste element 65b, resize 60%, change the blend mode to “Overlay” and move into position.

Paste element 93, resize 70% and mirror, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 98, resize 50% and mirror, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 82b, resize 65% and mirror, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 85c, resize 75%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste the tube (I did some re-colouring on mine which is allowed at Pics For Design), resize 18%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 62b, resize 20% and mirror, drag below the tube, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 63b, resize 20%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 50b, resize 25% and mirror, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 73, resize 45%, position on the left, duplicate and position the duplicate on the right (no shadow on these).

Paste element 81, resize 40% and duplicate, mirror the copy and resize it another 80%.  Apply the drop shadow to each copy with the box ticked “Shadow on a new layer” on the smaller copy then erase the shadow around the bottom of the element so it blends in.

Paste element 68b, resize 80%, apply the drop shadow (uncheck that box so it’s on the same layer as the element) and place in position.  Open your erasure, set the opacity to 10 and dab around the bottom of the post to blend it into the snow.

Paste element 14, resize 40%, duplicate and mirror the copy, position either side of the tube and apply the drop shadow to each.

Paste element 86b, resize 15%,  place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 9, resize 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 29b, resize 20%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 55, resize 40%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 45b, resize 25% and mirror, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 42b, resize 25%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Check your layers and make any adjustments.

Paste spray 14 on the top, resize 70%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

When you are done, crop your tag and add your copyright information and text and export on a transparent background as a png.
