About Me

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. Please be sure also to check out the Tag Gallery and see some of the awesome results to the tutorials!

I used Christmas mask 6 from

Font is

I used a drop shadow of vertical 0. Horizontal 5, opacity 45, blur 10.

Open a new transparent canvas 750 by 650 pixels and fill with white.

Paste the mask as a new layer, resize it 42% and mirror it.  Go to Selections – Select All – Selections – Float – Selections – Defloat, make a new layer and paste paper 11 into the selection, deselect and delete the original mask layer.

Paste spray 15, resize 65% and move over to the left.

Paste spray 12, resize 70% and move over to the left.

Paste element 86, resize 40%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open the tube.  I did some re-colouring on the tube, I recoloured the dress using a shade of brown selected from the kit and the stockings, candy and hat from a selected orange.   Both colours were a little bright so I set the opacity on the re-colouring tool to 50 to tone them down.  If you are not familiar with re-colouring check out my Tips and Tricks page.   When you have done your colouring paste the tube as new layer, resize it 23% place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 95, resize 40%, drag below the tube and position on the left, duplicate, resize the duplicate another 90% and move it over to the right, apply the drop shadow to each.

Paste spray 4, resize 65%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 19, resize 40% and mirror, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 43, resize 70% and mirror, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 23, resize 60%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 29e, resize 30% and rotate 20 degrees to the left, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 18b, resize 30% and mirror, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 107, resize 50%, duplicate, mirror the duplicate, place in position and apply the drop shadow to each.
