About Me

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. Please be sure also to check out the Tag Gallery and see some of the awesome results to the tutorials!

In this tutorial I used the tube “Fire” from
You can purchase the tube at

The kit is “Flames of Love” from
This is the second tutorial I have written with this awesome kit!
It can be purchased at

I used mask 18 from

Font of choice.

I used a drop shadow of vertical 0, horizontal 5, opacity 75, blur 10.

Open a new transparent canvas 750 by 800 pixels and fill with white.

Make a new layer, select all, paste paper 3 into the selection, deselect, apply the mask and resize it 95%.

Paste element 16, resize 55%,  rotate 10 degrees to the left and move into position.  Select the interior of the frame with your magic wand, expand the selection by 10, make a new layer below the element and paste paper 3 into the selection.    Mirror the close up tube and paste it, position in the frame, invert the selection and hit delete, deselect.  Change the blend mode on the tube to “Luminance” and apply the drop shadow to the frame.

Paste element 11b, resize 55% and rotate 20 degrees to the right, drag below the frame and paper layers, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 21, resize 55% and rotate 10 degrees to the right, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 22, resize 80%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 6b, resize 55%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 9, resize 50%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste the main tube, resize 85%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 2, resize 50% and duplicate, position along the bottom of the tube/frame and apply the drop shadow to each.

Paste element 26, resize 65%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 12, resize 35%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 28, resize 70%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 12b, resize 40%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 18, resize 35%, drag below element 12b, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 19, resize 55% and rotate 30 degrees to the right, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 17, resize 65%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Check your layers and make any adjustments.

Duplicate element 26, drag above the ribbon and position so the right end shows then erase the rest.

Paste the close up tube again just above the mask layer and place in position.  Select the mask, float and defloat it, go back to the tube and hit delete, deselect.    If you have any sharp edges on the tube (like her arm), blend it in with your eraser with the opacity set to 50.

When you are done, crop your tag, add your copyright information and text and export on a transparent background as a png.
