About Me

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. Please be sure also to check out the Tag Gallery and see some of the awesome results to the tutorials!

In this tutorial I used a tube by
You can purchase it from

I used part of the collab “Boo-tiful Nights” by Carrie from
This is an awesome collab with Dees’Sign Depot and can be purchased from
See my tutorial below using Dee’s part of the collab.

I used mask 84 from
and mask 4hwol.fecnikek (2) from

Font of choice.

I used a drop shadow of vertical 0, horizontal 5, opacity 85, blur 10.

Open a new transparent canvas 750 by 750 pixels and fill with white.

Make a new layer, select all, paste paste paper 23 into the selection, deslect and apply Weescotslass’ mask.

Paste Fecnikek’s mask as a new layer and resize it 27%.  Select all, float and defloat the mask, make a new layer, paste paper 18 into the selection and delete the original mask layer.

Paste element 90, resize 60% and position on the left.  Duplicate, resize the duplicate another 80% and position on the right, erase the bottom of the trunk on this copy and apply the drop shadow to each.

Paste frame 7 and resize 40%, select the interior of the frame with your magic wand, expand the selection by 20, make a new layer below the frame, paste paper 18 into the selection and deselect.  We will come back to this.

Paste the tube, resize 35%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 29, resize 35%, drag below the tube, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 68, resize 40%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 54, resize 20%, duplicate, merge the copy down onto the original, place in position on the left, duplicate, mirror the duplicate, drag it down to just above the frame and position on the right, apply the drop shadow to each.

Paste element 64 above the first cobweb, resize 20%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 63, resize 20%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 15, resize 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 21, resize 20%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 16, resize 25%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 26, resize 17%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 30 on the top, resize 17%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 9, resize 13% and mirror, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 24, resize 22%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 23, resize 20%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 95, resize 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 3, resize 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 59, resize 30% and duplicate, place in position and apply the drop shadow to each.

Paste element 87, resize 12%, drag below the leaves, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 88, resize 10%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 27 on the top, resize 13% and rotate 20 degrees to the right, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 60, resize 13% and mirror, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 39, resize 17%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 61, resize 12%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 62, resize 15%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 22, resize 15%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 74, resize 20%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 25, resize 20%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Check your layers now and make any adjustments.

Paste the tube again between the paper and the frame and place in position, select the interior of the frame and expand the selection as before, invert it and hit delete on the tube, deselect.  Change the blend mode on the tube to “Soft Light” and apply the drop shadow to the frame.

Paste element 13 above the frame, resize 17%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 99, resize 70% and place in position.

Paste element 101, resize 70% and place in position erasing any that are outside the tag.

When you are done, crop your tag, add your copyright information and text and export your tag on a transparent background as a png.
