About Me

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. Please be sure also to check out the Tag Gallery and see some of the awesome results to the tutorials!

In this tutorial I used the art “Siamese Witch Twins” from
You can purchase the tube at

I used Dee’s part of the awesome collab “Boo-Tiful Nights” from
and
The collab can be purchased at
Although my tag only uses Dee’s part,
you are free to combine both parts in your creations!

I used mask 1 by Dee’Sign Depot
and mask 0205 from
Sophistcated Simone at

Font of choice.

I used a drop shadow of vertical and horizontal 5, opacity 85, blur 10.

Make a new transparent canvas 800 by 700 and fill with white.

Make a new layer, select all, pate paper 16 into the selection, apply Dee’s mask and resize 95%.

Make another layer, paste paper 14 into the selection, deselect, apply Simone’s mask, resize 85%, duplicate and merge the copy down onto the original.

Paste element 84, resize 40% and duplicate, mirror and flip the duplicate and place both frames in position.  We will come back to them later.

Paste element 46, resize 80%, drag below both frames, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 77b on the top, resize 40%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste the tube, resize 60%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 81, resize 70%, drag below the tube, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 95, resize 40%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 39, resize 25%, drag below element 95, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 36, resize 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 38, resize 25%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 63, resize 35%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 64, drag up to just below the tube, resize 35%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste spray 11 on the top, resize 70% and place in position.

Paste element 2 , resize 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 68, resize 35%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 21, resize 20%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 22, resize 25%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 20, resize 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 23, resize 25%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 48, resize 25%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 74a, resize 25%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 70, resize 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 73, resize 25%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 72, resize 20%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 65, resize 20%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Check your layers and make any adjustments.

Paste the tube as a new layer, resize it 80%, duplicate it, close off the copy and mirror the original.   Go back to bottom frame and click anywhere on your canvas with your magic wand to make a selection, contract the selection by 15, position the tube inside the frame,  hit delete to remove the excess and deselect.    Repeat this with the top copy of the frame but the tube not mirrored.  Apply the drop shadow to each frame.

Paste element  69 above both frames, resize 55%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 85, resize 25%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste labels  1, 2 and 3,  resize each 50%, position below the cat and apply the drop shadow.

Paste label 5, resize 50% and rotate 10 degrees to the left, place in position and apply the drop shadow.
Paste label 6, resize 50% and rotate 15 degrees to the right, position above the frames and apply the drop shadow.

Paste spray 4 behind the tube, resize 70%, duplicate and place in position.

Paste spray 9 on the top, resize 50% and place in position.

Check your layers again and when you are happy, crop your tag, add your copyright information and text and export on a transparent background as a png.
