About Me

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. Please be sure also to check out the Tag Gallery and see some of the awesome results to the tutorials!

In this tutorial I used the fabulous bonus tube “Languish” from
This awesome tube is absolutely free with a $10 tube purchase from
running until 19th September!

The kit is “Indulgent” from
You can purchase the kit from

I used mask 84 from

Font of choice.

I used a drop shadow of vertical 0, horizontal 5, opacity 55, blur 20.

Open a new transparent canvas 750 by 750 pixels and fill with white.

Paste frame 4, resize it 55% and rotate 10 degrees to the left.  Select the interior of the frame with your magic wand, expand the section by 20, make a new layer below the frame and fill it with black.  Paste the close up tube, mirror it and then rotate it 30 degrees to the right, position in the frame, invert the selection and hit delete on the tube, deselect.   Apply the drop shadow to the frame, lower the opacity on the tube to around 50, merge the frame down onto the tube and then down again onto the paper and place in position.

Paste frame 3, select the interior with your magic wand, expand the selection as before, make a new layer below it and paste paper 7 into the selection, deselect, apply the drop shadow to the frame and merge it down onto the paper and then resize 70%.   Activate your Pick tool, nodes will show up aruond the frame, hold down the Ctrl key and pull one of the bottom nodes out a little to bring the frame into a perspective.     Sharpen up the frame as this will have made it a little blurry with the unsharp mask feature (check out my Tips & Tricks page for more info).  You should now have something like this.

Paste the main tube, resize 70%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 29, resize 70% and use your Pick tool to stretch it out the same as you did the frame, drag below the merged layers, duplicate twice, place in position and apply the drop shadow to each.

Click on your white background layer to activate it, make a new layer, select all, paste paper 4 into the selection, deselect and apply the mask.   Resize the mask 85% and use the Pick tool again to stretch it out.

Paste element 50 above the circular merged frame layer, resize 45%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 12, resize 40%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 10, resize 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 22, resize 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 6, resize 40% and rotate 90 degrees to the right, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 13, resize 20%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 19 on the top, resize 40%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste elements 14 and 16, resize each 25%, place in position around the teapot and apply the drop shadow.

Pate element 20 making sure its on the top, resize 20%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 18, resize 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 17, resize, 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 5, resize 20%, duplicate, place in position and apply the drop shadow to each.

Paste element 7, resize 30% and rotate 30 degrees to the right, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 43, resize 25%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 55, resize 25%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Check your layers and make any adjustments.

Paste the close up tube again just above the mask, resize it 80%, mirror it and rotate 90 degrees to the left, select the mask, float and defloat it, invert the selection, position the tube and then hit delete, deselect and lower the opacity to around 40%.

When you are done, crop your tag, add your copyright information and text and export on a transparent background as a png.
