About Me

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. Please be sure also to check out the Tag Gallery and see some of the awesome results to the tutorials!

In this tutoriali used a fabulous tube from
The tube comes with many options including a
gorgeous border collie on a separate layer.
You can purchase the tube at

The kit is “Land that I Love” from
This is a fabulous 4th July kit that can be purchased from
This a huge kit and you can get many different looking tags from it.

I used mask 3 from set 8 from

Font of choice.

I used a drop shadow of vertical 0, horizontal 5, opacity 65, blur 10.

Open a new transparent canvas 750 by 750 and fill with white.

Make a new layer, select all, paste paper 14 into the selection, apply the mask and resize 90%.

Paste element 56, resize 80% and position just above mid height on the mask.  Select the mask, float and defloat it, invert the selection and hit delete on the flag, deselect.  You do not want to move this element as it’s now the same shape as the mask but can redo it when you have your other elements in position if you need to.

Paste spray 6, position top left, duplicate and position bottom left.

Paste element 72, resize 75%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 115, resize 27%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 65, resize 40%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 41, resize 70% and rotate 35 degrees to the left, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 30, resize 40% and rotate 20 degrees to the right,  place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 31, resize 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 99, resize 40%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 124, resize 40%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste the tube, resize 18%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 121 and drag below the tube,  resize 80%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.  Activate the mask, select it, float and defloat it, invert the selection, go back to element 121 and hit delete, deselect.    Dab around the bottom hard edge of the element with your erasure, size 50, opacity 10 to blend it into the mask.

Pate element 26, resize 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 105b, resize 25%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 127 on the top, resize 22%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 137, resize 20%, duplicate twice, position around the tag and apply the drop shadow to each.

Check your layers and make any adjustments, then crop your tag, add your copyright information and text and export on a transparent background as a png.
