About Me

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. Please be sure also to check out the Tag Gallery and see some of the awesome results to the tutorials!

In this tutorial I used the tube “Black Cherry”
from the latest pack 81 from
This fab tube has loads of colour options but I
preferred to keep her in black and white.
You can purchase the tube from

I used the kit “Sass” from
This really pretty kit can also be purchased at

I used mask 2 from set 79 by
and mask 05 from the Flower of Naturalness set from
from the Yellow Dream blog train.

I used the Windows font Impact.

I used a drop shadow of vertical 0, horizontal  5, opacity 75, blur 10.

Open a new transparent canvas 750 by 750 and fill with white.

Make a new layer, select all, paste paper 6 into the selection, deselect and apply Rachel’s mask.

Paste Minyu’s  mask, resize it 38% and apply the drop shadow.  We are going to use it as it is.

Paste frame 5, resize 33% and rotate 70 degrees to the right.

Paste frame 2, resize 60% and apply the drop shadow.

Paste frame 3, resize 40% and rotate 10 degrees to the right.

Paste your main tube, resize 65% and apply the drop shadow.

Get your layers so far into position.

Go back to frame 5, select the interior with your magic wand, expand the selection by 20, make a new layer below the frame and fill with black.  Paste the close up tube, position in the frame, invert the selection and hit delete.  Lower the opacity of the tube to around 60% and apply the drop shadow to the frame.

Repeat the above with frame 3 and the tube mirrored.

Paste element 44 and duplicate.  Resize one copy 55%  and position just below the tube. Resize the second copy 65%, mirror it  and position below the circle frame .  Apply the drop shadow to each.

Paste element 33 below the tube,  resize 55% and position on the left, duplicate, mirror the duplicate and rotate it 20 degrees to the right, position on the right and apply the drop shadow to each.

Paste element 5, resize 40%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 40, resize 55%, position on the left, duplicate, move the duplicate over to the right and erase the parts that overlap hiding the join behind the tube, apply the drop shadow to each.

Paste element 20, resize 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 15 on the top, resize 25%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 13, resize 30%,  duplicate, mirror the duplicate and resize 90%, place in position and apply the drop shadow  to each.

Paste element 51, resize 40%, drag down below the top copy of element 13, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 12, resize 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 49, resize 40%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 9, resize 20%, duplicate, mirror  the duplicate, place in position and apply the drop shadow to each.

Check your layers and make any adjustments, then crop your tag, add your copyright information and text and export on a transparent background as a png.
