About Me

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. In this tutorial I used the awesome new tube  “Satin Sleek”

I used a drop shadow of vertical 0, horizontal 5, opacity 85, blur 10.


Open a new transparent canvas 700 by 800 pixels and fill with white.

Make a new layer, select all, paste paper 9 into the selection, deselect and apply the mask.

Paste element 38, resize 110%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 37, resize 80% and mirror, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 1, resize 35%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste frame 3, resize 55% and move into position.  Select the interior of the frame with your magic wand, expand the selection by 5, make a new layer below it and fill with black.  Paste the tube mirrored, position in the frame, invert the selection and hit delete, deselect.  Lower the opacity of the tube to around 70 and apply the drop shadow to the frame.

Paste element 20, resize 45%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste the main tube, resize 70%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 11, resize 60%, drag below the tube, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 23, resize 50%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 26, resize 40% and mirror, place in position, apply the drop shadow and do some erasing to wrap the ring around the pole.

Paste element 3, resize 80% and mirror, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 33 and place in position.

Resize element 5, resize 50% and mirror, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 12, resize 35%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 34, resize 40%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 39, resize 40%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 4, resize 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 6 on the top, resize 40%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 35, resize 35%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 16, resize 35%, mirror and flip, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Check your layers and make any adjustments. 

Paste element 29, resize 50%, drag down to just above the mask, place in position showing on the left, duplicate and move the duplicate over to the right.

When you are done, crop your tag, add your copyright information and text and export on a transparent background as a png.
