About Me

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. Please be sure also to check out the Tag Gallery and see some of the awesome results to the tutorials!

In this tutorial I used the gorgeous tube “Geisha” by
Veleri.
You can purchase the tube at

The kit is “Diary of a Geisha” from
This beautiful kit can be purchased from

I used mask 0503 from

You will also need the 20-20 mask,

Font is
This font is free for personal use only

http://www.fontspace.com/m%C3%A5ns-greb%C3%A4ck/mistuki-1-personal-use

I used a drop shadow of vertical 0, horizontal 5, opacity 65, blur 10.

Open a new transparent canvas 750 by 900 and fill with white.

Make a new layer, select all, paste paper 3 into the selection, deselect, apply the mask with the “Invert mask data” box checked and resize 95%, duplicate and merge the copy down onto the original.

Paste frame 2, resize 50% ,  rotate 10 degrees to the left and move into position.   Select the interior of the frame with your magic wand, expand the selection by 5, make a new layer below the frame and paste paper 3 into the selection.  Paste the tube,  resize 60% and position in the frame, invert the selection and hit delete, deselect.  Apply the drop shadow to the frame and tube and change the blend mode on the tube to “Hard Light”.

Paste element 8, resize 80%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste the main tube, resize 28%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 4, resize 50%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 3, resize 40% and rotate 30 degrees to the right, drag below the chest place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 6, resize 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 34, rotate 100 degrees to the left, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 14, resize 70%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 33 above the chest, resize 50%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 41, resize 20%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 5, resize 55%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.  Put this canvas aside for the moment.

Open the main tube again, duplicate it and close the original, crop the copy from the top of the canvas down to her waist as in my screen shot below.  Mirror the cropped image, apply the drop shadow and then apply the 20-20 mask.  Copy the masked tube, paste it on your canvas just above the tree, resize it 75% and place in position.

Paste element 43 on the top, resize 50%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 43a, resize 60%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 35, resize 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Check your layers and make any adjustments, then when you are done, crop your tag, add your copyright information and text and export on a transparent background as a png.
