About Me

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. Please be sure also to check out the Tag Gallery and see some of the awesome results to the tutorials!

In this tutorial I used the beautiful art of
Mélanie Delon.
You need a license to use Mélanie’s art, available from

I used the fabulous freebie sampler to the kit
“Only for a Moment” from
You can get download the kit from
or it is included if you purchase the full kit.

This is a creative team inspired kit for
Heather of
The full kit and clusters can be purchased at

Thank you Jessica, you are always so generous with
your freebie samplers!

You will need mask 151 from

Font is
Angelic War.

I used a drop shadow of vertical and horizontal 5, opacity 95, blur 20.  Please be sure to use this shadow as it is what gives the “floating” effect.

Open a new transparent canvas 750 by 750 pixels and fill with white.

Make a new layer, select all, paste paper 5 into the selection, deselect, apply the mask and resize 95%.

Paste cluster 1, resize 75%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Pate bling with butterflies, rotate 90 degrees to the the right, drag below the cluster and place in position.

Paste wordart 1, resize 70% and rotate 5 degrees to the right, duplicate, merge the copy down onto the original, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste the main tube on the top, resize 70%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

If you are using the same tube as me, paste the second tube, resize it 25%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste frame 3, resize 37%, drag below the cluster, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste doodle 4, resize 50%, drag below the frame, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste flowers, drag above the frame, resize 60%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste bow, resize 70%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste the bird on the top, resize 17%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste cloud, resize 30%, duplicate a few times, flip some and use your pick tool to change the shape and size of the copies and position them around your tag.

Paste trail on the top, resize 40% and rotate 90 degrees to the right, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Check your layers and make any adjustments, then crop your tag, add your copyright information and text and export on a transparent background as a png.
