About Me

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. Please be sure also to check out the Tag Gallery and see some of the awesome results to the tutorials!

In this tutorial I used a beautiful tube from
You can purchase the tube at

The kit is “Spanish Roses” from
This is a really beautiful kit with several colour combinations.
You can purchase the kit at

I used mask 84 from

You will need the plug in “Copies” from MuRa Meister.
This is a free plugin and you can get it

You will also need a suitable photograph, I got mine from
(I searched “Spain” and found it on the third page).

Font is
Angelina

Open a new transparent canvas 750 by 750 and fill with white.

Make a new layer, select all, paste paper 1 into the selection, deselect and apply the mask.

Paste element 31 and don’t move it all, resize 40% and flip horizontal (mirror).  Apply MuRa’s filter choosing “Encircle” from the drop down menu at the bottom on the left and apply a drop shadow with vertical and horizontal set to 9, opacity to 100 and blur to 20.

Paste frame 8, drag it below the roses and apply the same drop shadow.

Paste the frame again on the top and resize it 75%.  Select the interior of the frame with your magic wand, expand the selection by 10, make a new layer below the frame and fill with black.  Paste your photo and change the blend mode on it to “Hard Light”, resizing as needed, position in the frame, invert the selection and hit delete to remove the excess, deselect and apply the same drop shadow to the frame.

Paste the tube, resize 80%, place in position and apply the drop shadow changing the horizontal setting to 5, opacity to 85 and blur to 10.  We will use this shadow for the remainder of the tutorial.

Paste element 19, resize 50%, drag below the tube, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 10, duplicate, mirror and flip one copy and then rotate it 10 degrees to the right, place in position and apply the drop shadow to each.

Paste element 28  and mirror, place in position and apply the drop shadow.  I re-coloured this element.

Paste element 52, on the top, resize 75%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.  I re-coloured this element also.

Paste element 17, resize 40%, drag below element 52, duplicate, mirror and flip the duplicate, place in position and apply the drop shadow to each.

Paste element 47, resize 60% and rotate 30 degrees to the right, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

When you are done, check your layers and make any adjustments, then crop your tag, add your copyright information and text and export on a transparent background as a png.
