About Me

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. Please be sure also to check out the Tag Gallery and see some of the awesome results to the tutorials!

In this tutorial I used the art of
The tube is called “Lucy” and you can purchase it from

I used a really awesome steampunk kit called “Steampunk Junkie” from
I just love steampunk kits and this one is no exception!
You can purchase it at

I used mask 18 from
and one of my favourite masks no. 0501 from

Font is

I used a drop shadow of vertical 0, horizontal 5, opacity 85, blur 10.

Open a new transparent canvas 750 by 850 pixels and fill with white.

Make a new layer, select all, paste paper 9 into the selection, deselect and duplicate it.  Apply Millie’as mask to the bottom copy and Trese’s mask to the top one.

Paste element 42 and resize 105%.

Paste element  59, resize 40%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 1, resize 95%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste frame 1, resize 55%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 4, resize 80%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 20, resize 75%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 3, resize 95%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 30, place in position, erase the bottom half of the post and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 36, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste the tube, resize 80%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 29, resize 35%, drag below the tube and position on the left, duplicate, mirror the duplicate, drag it below element 36 and position on the right, apply the drop shadow to each.

Paste element 41, resize 70%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 44 just below the tube, resize 65% and rotate 20 degrees to the right, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste frame 13, again it should be just below the tube, resize 25% and place in position.  We will stretch it out wider in a moment.

Paste element 41, resize 55%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 37, resize 70%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 8 on the top, resize 50%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 14, resize 60%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Check your layers and make any adjustments.

Use the Pick tool on frame 3 to make it wider then select the interior of it with your magic wand, expand the selection by 10 and paste paper 1 below it, position the paper in the frame, invert the selection and hit delete, apply the drop shadow to the frame.

Paste element 24, resize 30%, drag right down to just above the masks, duplicate a couple of times and position on the bottom mirroring one copy and erasing a few drops to make them look different and apply the drop shadow to each.

Paste element 17 just below the frame and paper, resize 40%, duplicate, mirror the duplicate, place in position and apply the drop shadow to each.

Paste element 46 below the tube, resize 80%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 12, resize 35%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 60 on the top, resize 25%, duplicate twice, mirror the copies and rotate 40 degrees to the left, place in position and apply the drop shadow to each.

When you are done, crop your tag, add your copyright information and text, then export in a transparent background as a png.
