About Me

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. Please be sure also to check out the Tag Gallery and see some of the awesome results to the tutorials!

In this tutorial I used the tube “Poker” from
Alphadesire.
You can purchase the tube from

I used a beautiful kit called “Play Now” from
This is one of 50 kits donated by Thaliris for the
Here to Help Mirella fund.
You can purchase the kits at

I used photo mask Fun Funky Flourished from

Font is
Pique 'n' meex from

Unless otherwise stated I used a drop shadow of vertical 0, horizontal 5, opacity 85, blur 10.

Open a new transparent canvas 700 by 700 and fill with white.

Paste the mask, resize it 35% and rotate 10 degrees to the right.  Make a new layer, select all, paste paper 8b into the selection, go back to the mask layer, float and defloat it, invert the selection and hit delete on the paper to delete the excess, deselect and delete the original mask layer.

Paste element 9b, resize 50%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 15, resize 45%, duplicate and rotate the duplicate 90 degrees in either direction, place in position and apply the drop shadow to each.

Paste element 3, resize 22%, place in position and apply the drop shadow

Paste element 54d, resize 15%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 76b, resize 30% and rotate 10 degrees to the right, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 107, resize 20% and rotate 65 degrees to the right, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 108b, resize 17% and mirror, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste the tube, resize 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 64a, resize 20%, drag below the tube, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 63b, resize 20% and rotate 20 degrees to the right, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 75, resize 23%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 66, resize 8%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 67, resize 15%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Check your layers now and make any adjustments.  I used my Pick tool on the mask and pulled it down a little.

Paste element 43b (you wont see it as it’s bigger than the canvas), resize 22% and drag right down to just above the mask, duplicate, rotate one copy 90 degrees in either direction, place in position and apply the drop shadow to each changing the horizontal to 2 and blur to 5.

Paste element 6, resize 25%, duplicate a couple of times and position around your tag erasing any in the wrong place and apply the drop shadow to each (remember to change the settings back).

Paste element 12b on the top, resize 20% and rotate 70 degrees to the left, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 48, resize 15%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

When you are all done, crop your tag, add your copyright information and text, then export on a transparent background as a png.
