About Me

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. Please be sure also to check out the Tag Gallery and see some of the awesome results to the tutorials!

In this tutorial I used the fabulous layered tube “Unveiled” from pack 42 by
Barbara Jensen.
You can purchase the tube at

I used the kit “Vintage” from
This kit has some fabulous elements and can also be purchased at

I used freebie photomask 2013 from

Font of choice.

I used a drop shadow of vertical 0, horizontal 5, opacity 85, blur 10.

Open a new transparent canvas 700 x 750 and fill with white.

Make a new layer, select all, paste paper 9 into the selection.  Paste the mask as a new layer, resize it 23%, float and defloat it, invert it the selection and hit delete on the paper, deselect and delete Ems mask layer.  When I had my elements in position, I stretched the mask out a bit longer and a bit narrow.

Paste element 1, resize 70%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 29, resize 80% and rotate 20 degrees to the right, drag below the window, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 11 on the top, resize 80%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste the main tube, resize 80%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste frame 4, resize 45%, rotate 10 degrees to the left and position behind the tube.   Select the interior of the frame with your magic wand, expand the selection by 10,  make a new layer below it and paste paper 10 into the selection.  Paste the tube but this time mirrored, resize 90% and position in the frame, invert the selection and hit delete to remove the excess, deselect.  Apply the drop shadow to the tube and the frame and lower the opacity on the tube to around 70.

Paste element 17, resize 50% and duplicate, position behind the main tube and apply the drop shadow to each.

Paste element 3, resize 40%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 18, resize 55%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 6, resize 25% and mirror, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 20, resize 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 25 on the top, resize 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 21, resize 35%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 9, resize 40%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 16, resize 55% and rotate 10 degrees to the left, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 15, resize 45%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 7, resize 28%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 10, resize 50%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 31, resize 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 5, resize 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Check your layers and make any adjustments using your Pick tool on the mask then crop your tag, add your copyright information and text and export on a transparent background as a png.
