About Me

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. Please be sure also to check out the Tag Gallery and see some of the awesome results to the tutorials!

In this tutorial I used the tube “Once Bitten” from pack 43 by
You can purchase the tube from

The kit is “Softly” from
This is a lovely kit with some very pretty elements and can also be found at

I used mask 0429 from

Font of choice.

I used a drop shadow of vertical 0, horizontal 5, opacity 65, blur 10.

Open a new transparent canvas 700 by 750 and fill with white.

Make a new layer, select all, paste paper 1 into the selection, deselect, apply the mask with the “Invert mask data” box checked, mirror and move over to the left.

Paste element 24, resize 90%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 10, resize 60%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 30, resize 50%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 18, resize 50%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste the tube, resize 65%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 32, resize 65%, drag below the tube, position on the left and apply the drop shadow, duplicate, move the duplicate over to the right and erase the parts that overlap hiding the join behind the tube.

Paste element 5, resize 45%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 4 and place in position.

Paste element 28, resize 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 25, resize 50%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 21 on the top, resize 35%, mirror and flip, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 27, resize 55%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 14, resize 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 6, resize 30% and mirror, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 16, resize 30%, erase the small flower at the top and duplicate, mirror the duplicate, place in position and apply the drop shadow to each.

Paste element 11, resize 40%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Check your layers now and make any adjustments.

Paste element 13, resize 50% and apply the drop shadow, drag it down to just above the telephone, and erase some so it’s looped around it, duplicate, drag the duplicate below the clock.

Paste the tube again, drag it down to just above the mask, float and defloat the mask, position the tube as I have done on the mask, invert the selection and hit delete on the tube, deselect and change the blend mode to “Luminous (Legacy)”.

When you are done, crop your tag, add your copyright information and text, then export on a transparent background as a png.
