About Me

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. Please be sure also to check out the Tag Gallery and see some of the awesome results to the tutorials!

In this tutorial I used the awesome tube “Yin” from
Zlata M.
You can purchase this tube at

The kit is “A Saigon Tale” from
Carita’s Creations.
This fabulous kit can be purchased at

I used masks 44 and 65 from

Font is

Unless noted, I used a drop shadow of vertical 0, horizontal 5, opacity 85, blur 10.

Open a new transparent canvas 700 by 700 pixels and fill with white.

Make a new layer, select all, paste paper 6  into the selection and apply mask 44.

Make another layer, this time paste paper 6 into the selection, apply mask 65 and resize 95%.

Paste element 17, resize 45%, move up and towards the left and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 13, resize 65%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 8, resize 90%, drag below element 17, place in position, erase any that shows outside the element and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 16 on the top, duplicate, position one on the parasol and move the other lower and to the left, place in position and apply the drop shadow to each.

Paste element 14, resize 90%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste the tube, resize 55%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 9, resize 55%, drag below the tube, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 41, resize 50%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 5, resize 55%, mirror,  position on the right, duplicate twice, rotate one copy 20 degrees to the right, position lower down on the right erasing the bit that shows at the bottom,  rotate the  second duplicate 90 degrees to the right, mirror it and place along the bottom,  apply the drop shadow to each.

Paste element 11, resize 55%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 45 on the top, resize 35%, flip and then rotate 50 degrees to the left, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 33, resize 60%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 21, resize 80% and flip, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 6, resize 70% and rotate 30 degrees to the left, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 7, resize 35%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 46, resize 37%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 43, duplicate, mirror the duplicate, place in position and apply the drop shadow to each.

Paste element 4, resize 60%, duplicate and merge the top copy down onto the original, place in position and apply the drop shadow changing the horizontal to 5 and opacity to 5.

Check your layers for any adjustments, then crop your tag, add your copyright information and text and export on a transparent background as a png.
