About Me

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. Please be sure also to check out the Tag Gallery and see some of the awesome results to the tutorials!

In this tutorial I used the gorgeous art of
You need a license to use Maryline’s art, available at

I used a beautiful kit called “Christmas Gala” from
The kit can be purchased at

I used photo mask 6 from Masques 2 from

I used the windows font “Impact”.

Script font of choice.

I used a drop shadow of vertical 0, horizontal 5, opacity 75, blur 10.

Open a new transparent canvas 700 by 850 pixels and fill with white.

Make a new layer, select all and paste paper 5 into the selection.  Paste the mask as a new layer and resize it 50%.  You should still have the canvas selected so float and defloat the mask, invert the selection and hit delete on the paper, deselect, delete the photo mask layer, duplicate the paper mask layer and merge the copy down onto the original then rotate it 10 degrees to the left.   We will use the Pick tool on the mask later to narrow it a little.

Paste element 73a, resize 55%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste the tube, resize 75%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 82, resize 95%, drag below the window, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 49 above the window, resize 50%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 86, resize 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 85, resize 60%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 60, resize 60%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 62, resize 35% and rotate 20 degrees to the left, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 61, resize 55%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 81a, resize 50% and rotate 10 degrees to the right, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 74a, resize 60%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 75 on the top, resize 40%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 17, resize 30% and rotate 50 degrees to the right, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Check your layers and make any necessary adjustments using your Pick tool on the mask to make it a little narrow.

Set your background colour to #f2e7cc and foreground to #fefcf0, open the text tool , find the font Impact set the stroke width to 2 and type  the year“2016” (font size will vary according to which version of PSP you are using).  Place in position just above the mask.

Crop your tag, add your copyright information and text, then export on a transparent background as a png.
