About Me

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. Please be sure also to check out the Tag Gallery and see some of the awesome results to the tutorials!

In this tutorial I used the art of
You need a license to use Enys’ art, available at

I used the awesome kit “China Doll” from
This is a friendship kit inspired by
Pammy Hunter of
and is totally free with a $10 purchase from

I used Alien Skin Impact gradient glow filter.
If you do not have a gradient glow filter you can use a white shadow.

I used mask 0501 from
and mask 2 from set 40 from

I used the font

I used a drop shadow of vertical 0, horizontal 5, opacity 85, blur 10.

Open a new transparent canvas 750 by 750 pixels and fill with white.

Make a new layer, select all, paste paper 3 into the selection, deslect and duplicate it.  Apply Rachel's mask to the original copy and Trese's mask (with the invert mask data box checked) to the copy.

Paste bubble, resize 65%, duplicate, merge the copy down onto the original and move into position.

Paste double frame and resize 45%.  Select the interior of the frame with your magic wand, expand the selection by 3, make a new layer below it and paste paper 11 into the selection, deselect, apply the drop shadow to the frame, merge it down onto the paper and move into position.

Paste tree 2, resize 70%, drag below the merged layer, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste flowers 1, resize 30% and position so the flowers show on the right of the frame, duplicate, mirror the duplicate and position them further down to the original copy.

Paste the tube on the top, resize 70%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste the dragonflies, resize 50%, drag below the tube, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste sunflowers, resize 50%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste little flower, resize 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste bottle on the top, resize 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste hairpin, resize 70%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste feather, resize 20%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste stationary, resize 20% and rotate 10 degrees to the left, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste vase 2, resize 25%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste ribbon 1, resize 60%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste flowers 2, resize 35% and position on the right, duplicate, mirror the duplicate, position n the left and apply the drop shadow to each.

Paste stitches, resize 60%, position between the two flowers layers and apply the drop shadow.

Paste cluster 5, resize 50%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Check your layers now and make any adjustments.

Paste pattern, resize 60%, position above the stitches and apply the drop shadow.  I re-coloured this element to match my tube’s hair and bring a bit more pink in.

Paste word art 2 on the top, resize 45%, apply your gradient glow and the drop shadow and place in position.  If you do not have a gradient glow filter, use a white shadow on a new layer and then the drop shadow on the original text.

Paste the mist, resize 80% and place in position below the hairpin.

When you are done, crop your tag, add your copyright information and text, then export on a transparent background as a png.
