About Me

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. Please be sure also to check out the Tag Gallery and see some of the awesome results to the tutorials!

In this tutorial I used the fabulous layered tube “Fit to be Tied”
from the latest pack 76 from
You can purchase the kit at

I used the kit “Pirate Booty” by
The kit can also be purchased at

I used mask 1 from set 70 from

Font is

I used a drop shadow of vertical 0, horizontal 5, opacity 85, blur 10.

Open a new transparent canvas 750 by 700 pixels and fill with white.

Make a new layer, select all, paste paper 4 into the selection, deselect, apply the mask and resize 95%.

Paste element 11, resize 65% and rotate 10 degrees to the left.  Select the interior of the element with your magic wand, expand the selection by 30, make a new layer below the element and paste paper 1 into the selection, deselect and apply the drop shadow to the frame.

Paste element 9, resize 90%, drag below the frame and paper layers, place in position, erase the bit at the bottom that shows below and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 25, resize 80% and rotate 90 degrees to the right, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 17, resize 70%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste the tube on the top, resize 75%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 16, resize 80%, drag below the tube, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 33, resize 70%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 3, resize 25%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 2 on the top, resize 40%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 35, resize 20%, drag below the tube and position to the left of her, duplicate, move the duplicate over to the right by the chest.  I did some cutting and pasting of the tube’s feet when I had everything in position to bring them above this element and the compass.

Paste element 6, resize 40%, position below the tube and apply the drop shadow,

Paste element 4, resize 35%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 10, resize 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 5, resize 50%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 19, resize 35%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 31, resize 15%, duplicate a couple of times, mirror the duplicates, place in position and apply the drop shadow to each.

Paste element 14, resize 40%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 32, resize 35%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Check your layers and make any necessary adjustments, then crop your tag, add your copyright information and text and export on a transparent background as a png.
