About Me

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. Please be sure also to check out the Tag Gallery and see some of the awesome results to the tutorials!

In this tutorial I used a fabulous tube called “Wendy” from
Zlata M.
I just love her specs!
You can purchase the tube at

I used a really pretty kit called “Blushed” from
The kit is available at

I used mask 143 from

I used the font

I used a drop shadow of vertical 0, horizontal 5, opacity 75, blur 10.  Also, I re-coloured a couple of the elements/papers to better match the tube.

Open a new transparent canvas 700 by 650 and fill with white.

Make a new layer, select all, paste paper 11 into the selection, deselect, apply the mask and resize 95%.

Paste element 10 and resize 65%.   Select the interior of the element with your magic wand, make a new layer below it, paste 6 into the selection and delesect.  Apply the drop shadow to the element, merge it down onto the paper and move into position.

Paste element 43, resize 65% and repeat the above using paper  20.

Paste your tube, resize as needed, place in position and apply the drop shadow.  I resized my tube 80%.

Paste element 9, resize 45% and mirror, drag below the tube, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 38, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 60, resize 70% and position behind the feathers.

Paste element 36, resize 45%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 59 on the top, resize 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 8, resize 45%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 56, resize 25%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 48, resize 25%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 49, resize 35%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 35, resize 20% and rotate 20 degrees to the left, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 40, resize 25%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 19, resize 40%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 53, resize 30% and position on the compact,  duplicate, mirror the duplicate and rotate 20 degrees to the right, drag below the tube, position on the right of her and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 30 making sure it’s on the top, resize 35% and rotate 20 degrees to the right, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 21, resize 25%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 22, resize 25%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 23, resize 35%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Check your layers now and make any necessary adjustments.

Paste element 61, drag down to just above the two merged layers and position on the right, duplicate, mirror the duplicate and position on the left.

Paste element 32 on the top, resize 70%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

When you are done, crop your tag, add your copyright information and text, then export on a transparent background as a png.  For my font, I used a white as the foreground with stroke width on 2 and paper 11 scale 25% as the fill.
