About Me

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. Please be sure also to check out the Tag Gallery and see some of the awesome results to the tutorials!

In this tutorial I used the layered tube “Baring All”
from pack 75 from
You can purchase the tube at

I used a gorgeous kit called “Moonlight Shadow” from
I love the colour combinations in this kit.
The kit is also available for purchase at

I used mask 0057 from

Font of choice.

Unless noted, I used a drop shadow of vertical 0, horizontal 5, opacity 75, blur 10.

Open a new transparent canvas 700 x 750 pixels and fill with white.

Make a new layer, select all, paste paper 7 into the selection, deselect, apply the mask and resize 90%.

Paste element 22, resize 60% and rotate 10 degrees to the right, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 18, resize 60% and rotate 20 degrees to the left, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 6, resize 60%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste the tube, resize 65%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 17, resize 55% and rotate 20 degrees to the right, drag below the tube, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 30, resize 40%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 26, resize 40%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 5, resize 50%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 29, resize 40%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 15 on the top, resize 50%, place in position and apply the drop shadow then repeat the drop shadow with vertical set to 0 and horizontal to 5.

Paste element 27, resize 60% and rotate 60 degrees to the left, drag below element 15, duplicate, mirror and flip the duplicate, place in position and apply the drop shadow to each (remember to change the settings back).

Paste element 25, resize 80% and rotate 60 degrees to the left, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 3, resize 30%, drag down to just above the tube, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 28, resize 50%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Check your layers and make any necessary adjustments.

Paste the close up tube and drag it down to just above the mask layer, select the mask layer, float and defloat it, move the tube into position, invert the selection and hit delete, deselect and erase the part of the tube that covers the bottom swirly bit on the mask.

When you are done, crop your tag, add your copyright information and text, then export on a transparent background as a png.
