About Me

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. Please be sure also to check out the Tag Gallery and see some of the awesome results to the tutorials!

In this tutorial I used the fabulous new layered tube “Razor’s Edge”
from the latest pack 75 from
You can purchase the tube from

I used a gorgeous kit “Un-Teal We Meet Again” from
The kit is also available at

I used mask 144 from

Font of choice.

I used a drop shadow of vertical 0, horizontal 5, opaicty 95, blur 15.

Open a new transparent canvas 750 by 700 pixels and fill with white.

Make a new layer, select all, paste paper 5 into the selection, deselect, apply the mask and resize 90%.

Paste frame 4, resize 40% and rotate 20 degrees to the left.  Select the interior of the frame with your magic wand, expand the selection by 20, make a new layer below it and fill with #444444.  Paste the close up tube, resize 80%, position in the frame, invert the selection and hit delete to remove the excess, deselect.  Change the blend mode on the tube to “Soft Light” and apply the drop shadow to the frame.

Paste the frame again, resize it as before and rotate 30 degrees to the right, then repeat the above but with the tube mirrored and the blend mode changed to “Hard Light”.

Paste element 26, resize 80%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 1, resize 85%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste the tube, resize 60%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 13, resize 90%, drag below the flower, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 19, resize 50%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 15, resize 50% and mirror, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 24, drag above the grey flower, resize 40% and rotate 20 degrees to the left, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 21, resize 70%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste elements 25 and 25a, resize each 10%, duplicate one, place in position and apply the drop shadow to each.

Paste element 11, resize 15% and rotate 40 degrees to the left, duplicate, mirror the duplicate, place in position and apply the drop shadow to each.

Check your layers and make any adjustments.

Paste element 28, resize 70%, drag right down to just  above the mask, position on the left, duplicate, mirror and flip the duplicate and position it on the right, apply the drop shadow to each.

When you are done, crop your tag, add your copyright information and text then export on a transparent background as a png.
