About Me

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. Please be sure also to check out the Tag Gallery and see some of the awesome results to the tutorials!

In this tutorial I used the the tube "Cupid" (8-1) from
Rachel Anderson.
You need a license to use Rachel’s art, they are available at

I used a kit inspired by this tube from
The kit can also be purchased at

I used mask 49 from
And mask 1 from
Dees’Sign Depot
which you can get

Font of choice.

I used a drop shadow of vertical 0, horizontal 5, opacity 85, blur 10.

Open a new transparent canvas 750 by 700 pixels and fill with white.

Make an new layer, select all, paste paper 5 into the selection, deselect and apply the Moonbeams & Spiderwebs mask.

Make another layer below this mask layer and fill with a dark grey, I used #202020, apply the Dees’Sign Depot mask and resize 90%.

Paste element 17, resize 80%, mirror and move up a little.  Select the interior of the element with your magic wand, expand the selection by 2, make a new layer below it and paste paper 2 into it, deselect .  Apply the drop shadow to the frame and merge it down onto the paper.

Paste element 5, resize 50% and rotate 20 degrees to the right, drag below the merged layer, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste the tube on the top, resize 70%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 12, resize 40%, drag below the tube, duplicate, mirror the duplicate, place in position and apply the drop shadow to each.

Paste element 13 on the top, resize 60%, duplicate, mirror the duplicate, place in position and apply the drop shadow to each.

Paste element 11, resize 40%, drag between the copies of element 13 and position on the left, duplicate, close the copy off for now and apply the drop shadow to the original.

Paste element 10 on the top, resize 40% and position on the right, duplicate, mirror the duplicate and position on the left, place in position and apply the drop shadow to each.

Paste element 14, resize 35% and rotate 20 degrees to the right, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open the copy of the grey rose, bring it to the top, mirror it, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 9, resize 35%, drag below the grey rose, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 6 on the top, resize 15% and duplicate, rotate one  60 degrees to the left, and one 90 degrees to the right, place in position and apply the drop shadow to each.

Paste element 16, resize 40%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste word art 2, resize 65%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Check your tag and make any necessary adjustments, then crop, add your copyright information and text and export on a transparent background as a png.
