About Me

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. Please be sure also to check out the Tag Gallery and see some of the awesome results to the tutorials!

In this tutorial I used the amazing art of
You need a license to use Enys’ art, they are available at

I used the fabulous freebie sampler kit “Darkness Sparkles” from
Gothic Inspirations.
This is the sampler to a creative team inspiration kit made for
Tonya Damit from
You can get the sampler  from Jessica’s site or will find it included if
you purchase the full size kit.
Check out the full size kit at

You will need mask 157 from

Font of choice.

I used a drop shadow of vertical 0, horizontal 5, opacity 85, blur 10.

Open a new transparent canvas 750 by 700 pixels and fill with white.

Make a new layer, select all, paste paper 4 into the selection and apply the mask.

Paste the mask from the kit, resize 50% and rotate 15 degrees to the right, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste frame 2, resize 45%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste the tube, resize 70%, position in the frame and apply the drop shadow.

Paste the lamp, resize 25%, drag below the tube, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste bow 1, resize 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow

Paste flower 2, resize 45%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste tree on the top, resize 40%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste moss, resize 45%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste flower 2, resize 45%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste ribbon 1, resize 60%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste word art 2, resize 70%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste the sticker, resize 80%, drag below the word part, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste flower 1, resize 25%, duplicate, mirror the duplicate and resize it 90%, place in position and apply the drop shadow to each.

Paste light show, resize 55% and place in position.

Check your layers and make any necessary adjustments.

Paste your tube again and mirror it, drag to above the mask that came with the kit and change the blend mode to “Overlay”, place in position, click on the mask, select it, float and defloat it, invert the selection and click delete on the tube, deselect.

When you are done, crop your tag, add your copyright information and text, then export on a transparent background as a png.
