About Me

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. Please be sure also to check out the Tag Gallery and see some of the awesome results to the tutorials!

In this tutorial I used the gorgeous layered tube “Lolita” from
the latest pack 74 from
You can purchase the tube at

The kit is “Ageless Beauty” from
I love the soft colours of this kit!
You can purchase it also at

You will also need mask 65 from

Font of choice.

I used a drop shadow of vertical 0, horizontal 5, opacity 75, blur 15.

Open a new transparent canvas 650 by 600 pixels and fill with white.

Select all, paste paper 4 into the selection, deselect, apply the mask and resize 90%.

Paste element 24, resize 85% and rotate 30 degrees to the left, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 8, resize 50% and place in position.  Select the interior of the frame with your magic wand, expand the selection by 20, make a new layer below the frame and paste paper 4 into it, deselect.

Paste element 1, resize 55% and then repeat what you did with the first frame using the same paper.  We will come back to these two frames.

Paste the main tube, resize 55%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 30, resize 45%, drag below the top frame and paper, duplicate, rotate the duplicate 20 degrees to the left, place in position and apply the drop shadow to each.

Paste element 7, drag above the top frame, resize 55%, position on the left, duplicate, mirror the duplicate and move over to the right, apply the drop shadow to each.

Paste element 21, resize 50% and duplicate, place in position and apply the drop shadow to each.

Paste element 23, resize 65% and duplicate, place in position and apply the drop shadow to each.

Paste element 26, resize 65% and duplicate, place in position dragging the element on the right below element 23 and apply the drop shadow to each.

Paste element 15 just below the tube, resize 45%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Check your layers and make any necessary adjustments.

Paste the close up tube, resize 60%, duplicate and close off the copy.  Position the open copy between the top frame and paper below it, again select the interior of the frame, expand it as before, invert the selection and  hit delete on the tube, deselect.  Change the blend mode on the tube to “Hard Light” and apply the drop shadow to the tube.  Open the closed duplicate of the tube and repeat the above positioning it in the green frame.

Paste element 29 on the top,  resize 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 19, resize 30% and mirror, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 17, resize 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

When you are done, crop you tag, add your copyright information and text and export on a transparent background as a png.
