About Me

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. Please be sure also to check out the Tag Gallery and see some of the awesome results to the tutorials!

In this tutorial I used the fabulous tube “Flaxen Femme”
from the layered pack 72 from
Barbara Jensen.
Barbara’s tubes can be purchased at

I used the gorgeous kit “Aphrodite’s Garden” from
The kit can also be purchased at

I used mask 1 from set 1 from

I used the font
Thors Hammer.

I used a drop shadow of vertical 0, horizontal 5, opacity 75, blur 10.

Open a new transparent canvas 650 by 600 pixels and fill with white.

Make a new layer, select all, paste paper 10 into the selection,  apply the mask and resize 95%.

Paste element 6, resize 86% and move over a little to the right.

Paste element 26, resize 45% and mirror, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Go back to element 6 and select the interior with your magic wand, expand the selection by 20 and paste paper 4 below it, resize the paper 65% and position it in the frame, invert the selection and hit delete to remove the excess, deselect and apply the drop shadow to the element.

Paste element 30 above the curtain, resize 60% and mirror, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 22, resize 60% and duplicate.  Mirror one copy, drag it below the arch and paper layers and position at the back, position the second copy above the curtain and apply the drop shadow to each.

Paste element 29, resize 50%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste your tube, resize the tube 70%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 15, resize 50% and mirror, drag below the tube, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 19, resize 35%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 8,  resize 40%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 23, resize 55%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 21, resize 30% and rotate 120 degrees to the right, position below the harp, duplicate, mirror and flip the duplicate, position above the harp and apply the drop shadow to each.

Paste element 10, resize 20%, position below the top bunch of grapes, duplicate, mirror the duplicate, position above the grapes and apply the drop shadow to each.

Paste element 12, resize 25%, duplicate, place in position and apply the drop shadow to each.

Check your layers and make any adjustments, then crop your tag, add your copyright information and text and export on a transparent background as a png.
