About Me

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. Please be sure also to check out the Tag Gallery and see some of the awesome results to the tutorials!

This tutorial uses the fabulous current layered bonus tube “Plumage” from
Barbara Jensen.
This tube is free with any tube purchase of $10 before
Saturday 4th July  from

The kit is “Luscious Foliage” from
I just love this beautiful kit, it can also be purchased at

I used mask 65 from

Font of choice.

I used a drop shadow of vertical 0, horizontal 5, opacity 95, blur 10.

Open a new transparent canvas  650 by 600 and fill with white.

Make a new layer, select all, paste paper 7 into the selection, deselect, apply the mask and resize 90%.

Paste element 15, resize 60% and move over to the left, we will come back to this.

Paste the tube, duplicate it, mirror one copy and close it off, resize the open copy 60%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.  This is the main tube.

Paste element 8, resize 40%, drag below element 15, duplicate, place in position and apply the drop shadow to each.

Paste element 2, resize 70%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 1, resize 70%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 9, resize 50% and duplicate, position one copy on the right below both elements 1 and 2 and position the other on top of those elements on the left, apply the drop shadow to each.

Paste element 7, resize 35%, position on the left immediately below the tube and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 21, resize 35%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 13, resize 35% and mirror, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 5 on the top, resize 60%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 23, resize 25%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 27, resize 65% and rotate 90 degrees to the right, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 30, resize 60%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 24, resize 60% and flip, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Check your layers now and make any necessary adjustments.

Go back to element 14, select the interior of each part with your magic wand and expand the selection by 20, paste paper 6 below the element and resize it 70%.  Open the mirrored tube, drag it above paper 6, change the blend mode to “Overlay” and position both the paper and tube so she is peering through the foliage, invert the section and hit delete on both, deselect and apply the drop shadow to the frame.

Paste element 26 on the top, resize 60%, hook over the letter “f” on foliage erasing part of the ring and apply the drop shadow.

When you are all done, crop your tag, add your copyright information and text, then export on a transparent background as a png.
