About Me

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. Please be sure also to check out the Tag Gallery and see some of the awesome results to the tutorials!

In this tutorial I used one of my favourite tube from
You can purchase the tube at

I used a really beautiful kit “Tres Chic” from
This is a huge kit with some fabulous elements, papers,
word art and sprays and can be purchased at

I used two masks, mask 18 from
and mask 46 from

I used the font

I used a drop shadow of vertical 0, horizontal 5, opacity 75, blur 10.

Open a larger transparent canvas 850 by 800 so you have plenty of room and fill with white.

Paste element 107, resize it 45%, give it a good sharpen and position towards the bottom on the right of your canvas.  Select the interior of the element with your magic wand, expand the selection by 1, make a new layer below the element and paste paper 4 into it, deselect.  Apply the drop shadow to the frame, close off your white background layer, merge visible and re-open the closed layer.

Paste element 115, resize 90%, drag below the merged layer, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste the tube on the top, resize 70% and mirror, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 114, resize 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 9, resize 50%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 39, resize 30% and mirror, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 20C, resize 25%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste elemebt 59, resize 50%, mirror and rotate 20 degrees to the left, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 109b, resize 50%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 28, resize 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 41, resize 20% and rotate 20 degrees to the right, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 10, resize 50%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 66, resize 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste one of the word arts, resize, place in position and apply the drop shadow.  I resized mine 80%.

Check your layers now and make any necessary adjustments.

Make a new layer just above the base white layer, select all, paste paper 6 into the selection, mirror Millie’s mask, apply it and resize 90%.

Make another layer, again paste the paper into the selection,  apply the Moonbeams and Spiderwebs mask and resize 90%.

Paste the tube again, resize it 90%,  change the blend mode to “Overlay” and place in position.  Use your erasure size 100, opacity 10 along the bottom harsh edge to blend it out.

Paste element 7, resize 50%, position above the black netting and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 102 on the top, resize 70% and mirror, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Once again, check your layers.

Merge the top mask down onto the bottom mask then select this merged layer, float and defloat it, invert the selection, click on the overlay tube and hit delete, deselect.

Crop your tag, resize it if needed, add your copyright information and text, then export on a transparent background as a png.
