About Me

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. Please be sure also to check out the Tag Gallery and see some of the awesome results to the tutorials!

In this tutorial I used the fabulous bonus tube “Cyra” from
Barbara Jensen.
This tube is absolutely free with a tube purchase of $10 from
 before 17th February

The beautiful kit is “Love Letters” from
and is also available at

You will need the Two Moons filter

You will also need a mask, I used mask 84 from

I used the font

Apart from the font, I used a drop shadow of vertical 0, horizontal 5, opacity 85, blur 10.

Open a new transparent canvas 650 by 600 pixels and fill with white.

Make a new layer, select all, paste paper 2 into the selection, deselect and apply the mask, resize 95%.

Paste element 5, resize 65% and rotate 20 degrees to the left, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 16, resize 65%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 12, resize 40% and rotate 20 degrees to the right and place in position; we will come back to this.

Paste the tube, resize 60%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 2, resize 20%, drag below the tube, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 15, resize 35% and position on the stamp, duplicate, mirror and flip the duplicate, drag it below the stamp and place in positon, duplicate the original again and close this copy off for now.

Paste element 18 on the top, resize 50%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 9, resize 35%, drag below element 18, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 7, resize 25%, position to the right of the tube and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 14, resize 35% and position on the right, duplicate, mirror the duplicate and position on the left, place in position and apply the drop shadow to each.

Paste element 10, resize 60%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 8 on the top, resize 25%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 7, resize 25% again, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Check your layers and make any necessary adjustments.

Open the closed copy of element 15, flip it and position so a little shows at the bottom on the right below the name tag.

Activate the heart element, select the interior of it with your magic wand, expand the selection by 20, make a new layer below it and fill with a purple from your tube, I used #552a66.  Paste the close up of the tube, resize 60% and position in the heart, invert the selection and hit delete to remove the excess, deselect.    Apply the drop shadow to the tube and change the blend mode to “Luminance (Legacy)”, merge it down onto the coloured layer below and apply the Cut Glass filter changing the size to 16.

Click on element 18 and apply your text using the nodes while it is still a vector image to fit nicely on the element then apply a drop shadow but change the horizontal to 2 and blur to 5.

Paste element 19, resize 25%, place in position and apply the drop shadow (remember to change the settings back).

When you are done, crop your tag, add your copyright information and export on a transparent background as a png.
