About Me

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. Please be sure also to check out the Tag Gallery and see some of the awesome results to the tutorials!

In this tutorial I used the fabulous layered tube “Noon Break”
from the latest pack 61 by
Barbara Jensen.
You can purchase the tube at

The kit is “A Love that Lasts” by
This beautiful kit is also available at

You will also need a mask, I used mask 84 by

Script font of choice.

I used a drop shadow of vertical 0, horizontal 5, opacity 65, blur 10.

Open a new transparent canvas 650 by 650 pixels and fill with white.

Open paper 1, mirror it and then copy it, make a new layer on your canvas, select all, paste the paper into the selection, deselect, apply the mask and then mirror it so the paper is the correct way round.

Paste element 22 as a new layer and resize 70%.  Select  the interior of the element with your magic wand and expand the selection by 5, undo the mirror on paper 1 and paste it as an new layer below the frame, resize it 50% and position in the frame so some of the writing shows, invert the selection and hit delete, deselect.   Apply the drop shadow to the frame, merge it down onto the paper and move up and to the right.

Paste element 31 as a new layer, resize 60% and rotate 20 degrees to the left, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 9 as a new layer, resize 70%, drag below the heart box, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste your tube as a new layer on the top, resize as needed, place in position and apply the drop shadow.  I resized my tube 70%.

Paste element 25 as a new layer, resize 25%, drag below the tube, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 29 as a new layer, resize 43% and rotate 20 degrees to the right, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 28 as a new layer, resize 40%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 24 as a new layer, resize 45% and mirror, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 9 as a new layer, resize 50%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 8 as a new layer, resize 45%, mirror, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 7 as a new layer, resize 45% and rotate 20 degrees to the right, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 20 as a new layer, resize 20% and rotate 10 degrees to the left, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 32 as a new layer, resize 40% and rotate 50 degrees to the right, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Check your layers now and make any necessary adjustments.

Paste element 6 as a new layer,  resize 30% and rotate 120 degrees to the right, drag below the tube, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 6 as a new layer, resize 80% and rotate 30 degrees to the right, drag down until it’s below all the flowers and duplicate, place in position behind the flowers erasing parts that overlap and apply the drop shadow to each.

Paste element 10 as a new layer, resize 60%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 27 as a new layer, resize 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 11 as new layer, resize 60%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Once again, check you layers, then when you are done, crop your tag, add your copyright information and text, then export on a transparent background as a png.
