About Me

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. Please be sure also to check out the Tag Gallery and see some of the awesome results to the tutorials!

In this tutorial I used the art of
My license to use this tube came from
Dreamscape Imaging
but they are now available at

I used a gorgeous kit inspired by J.M. Leotti’s tube 6-3 from
The kit can be purchased at

You will also need a mask, I used mask 05from

I used a font by Jellyka called

I used a drop shadow of vertical 0, horizontal 5, opacity 95, blur 10.

Open a new transparent canvas 650 by 650 pixels and fill with white.

Copy paper 2, make a new layer on your canvas, select all, paste the paper into the selection, deselect and apply the mask.

Paste frame 02 as a new layer, resize 60% and place in position.  Select the interior of the frame with your magic wand, expand the selection by 20 and make a new layer below it, copy paper 4 and paste it into the selection.

Paste your tube as new layer, position in the frame resizing as needed, invert the selection and hit delete to remove the excess, deselect.  Set the blend mode on the tube to “Hard Light” and lower the opacity to around 35, apply the drop shadow to the frame.

Paste element 14 as a new layer on the top, resize 70%, position towards the left and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 09 as a new layer, resize 65%, place in position and apply the drop shadow,.

Paste element 6 as a new layer, resize 60%, mirror, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 5 as a new layer, resize 50% and rotate 10 degrees to the right, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste your tube again, resize as needed, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 4 as a new layer,  resize 70%, drag below the tube and duplicate, place in position and apply the drop shadow to each.

Paste element 07 as a new layer, resize 40%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 18 as a new layer and bring to the top, resize 70%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 03 as a new layer, resize 30% and duplicate, resize the duplicate another 80% and mirror it, place in position and apply the drop shadow to each.

Paste element 01 as a new layer, resize 70%. Place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 08 as a new layer, resize 25%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Check the positions of your layers and make any necessary adjustments.

Paste element 02 as a new layer, resize 35% and rotate 80 degrees to the right, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 13 as a new layer, resize 65% and place in position.

Well you are done, crop your tag, add your copyright information and text, then export on a transparent background as a png.
