About Me

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. Please be sure also to check out the Tag Gallery and see some of the awesome results to the tutorials!

In this tutorial I used the fabulous layered tube “Sweet Cheeks”
from the latest pack 58 by
Barbara Jensen.
You can buy the tube from

The kit is “A Touch of Orient” from
You can also purchase the kit at

You will also need a mask, I used mask 0120 from Simone at

Font of choice.

If this is the first tutorial of mine you have followed, please be sure to check out my “About my tutorials” page before you start, thank you.

I used a drop shadow of vertical 0, horizontal 5, opacity 85, blur 10.

Open a new transparent canvas 650 by 600 pixels and fill with white.

Copy paper 3, make a new layer on your canvas, select all, paste the paper into the selection, deselect and apply the mask.  Resize 95%.

Paste element 9 as a new layer, resize 60%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 8 as a new layer, resize 50%, rotate 10 degrees to the right and place in position.  Select the interior of the element with your magic wand, expand the selection by 10 and make a new layer below it, open paper 7, flip it and then paste it into the selection.   Paste your tube as a new layer,  position it in the element resizing if needed, invert the selection and hit delete to remove the excess, deselect.  Apply the drop shadow to the frame and change the blend mode on the tube to “Overlay”.  I used the full size tube resized 80%.

Paste your tube again, resize as needed, place in position and apply the drop shadow.   This time I resized the tube 70%.

Paste element 23 as a new layer, resize 40% and rotate 20 degrees to the right, drag below the main tube, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 19 as a new layer, resize 60% and rotate 40 degrees to the left, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 30 as a new layer, resize 60%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 21 as a new layer, resize 50%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 17 as a new layer, resize 50% and duplicate twice.  Drag one copy down below the fan and position on the right, mirror one copy and position above the parasol on the left and position the third copy in the middle below the tube.  Apply the drop shadow to each.

Paste element 7 as a new layer, resize 25% and rotate 50 degrees to the left, drag down below the middle copy of element 17, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 5 as a new layer, resize 35% and mirror, drag above element 7, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 2 as a new layer,  resize 35%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 25 as a new layer,  resize 20% and tuck behind the Buddha, duplicate, mirror the duplicate and rotate it 50 degrees to the left, position just behind the tube, apply the drop shadow to both layers.

Paste element 27 as a new layer, resize 25%, place in position below element 25, duplicate, rotate the duplicate 50 degrees to the right and position behind the Buddha, apply the drop shadow to both layers.

Paste element 28 as a new layer, resize 25%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 10 as a new layer, resize 25%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Check the positions of your elements and make any necessary adjustments then crop your tag, add your copyright information and text and export on a transparent background as a png.
