About Me

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. Please be sure also to check out the Tag Gallery and see some of the awesome results to the tutorials!

For the background, I used mask 302 from

I used the font

Please check out my “About my tutorials” page if this is the first tutorial of mine you have followed, thank you.

I used a drop shadow of vertical and horizontal 5, opacity 85, blur 10.

Open a new transparent canvas 650 by 600 pixels and fill with white.

Copy Paper 01, make a new layer on your canvas, select all, paste the paper into the selection, deselect and apply the mask, resize 95%.

Paste Element 16 as a new layer, resize 60%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste Frame 01 as a new layer, resize 55% and place in position.  Select the interior of each part of the frame with your magic wand, expand the selection by 10 and make a new layer below it, copy Paper 02 and paste it into the selection, deselect.

Paste your tube as a new layer and resizing as needed, position in the right hand section of the frame.  I resized my tube 80%.  Duplicate the tube, drag the duplicate down below the main tube and the frame and position in the left hand section of the frame.  Select the interior of the frame again and expand the selection as before, invert it and hit delete on the tube to remove the excess, deselect.  Change the blend mode on this copy to “Luminance (Legacy)” and lower the opacity to around 50.  Apply the drop shadow to the frame.

Paste Element 10 as a new layer, resize 70%, drag down to just above the clock face, place in position and apply the drop shadow.  You will need to erase  the bottom of the stalk.

Paste Element 14 as a new layer,  resize 50%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste Element 11 as a new layer, resize 55% and position on the right, duplicate, mirror and flip the duplicate and position on the left, apply the drop shadow to each copy.

Paste Element 12 as a new layer and drag it up so it’s inside the frame,  resize 30%, place in position erasing any that shows at the bottom outside the frame and apply the drop shadow.

Paste Element 13 as a new layer, resize 30%, mirror, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste Element 05 as a new layer, drag above the frame, resize 55%, mirror, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste Element 18 as a new layer, resize 40%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste Element 19 as a new layer, resize 25%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Check your layers and make any necessary adjustments.

Paste Element 09 as a new layer on the top, resize 60% and place in position erasing some to wrap it around the tube.

When you are done, crop your tag, add your copyright information and text, then export on a transparent background as a png.
