About Me

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. Please be sure also to check out the Tag Gallery and see some of the awesome results to the tutorials!

I used the font

Please check out my “About my tutorials” page if this is the first tutorial of mine you have followed, thank you.

I used a drop shadow of vertical 0, horizontal 5, opacity 85, blur 10 unless stated otherwise.

Open a new transparent canvas 650 by 600 pixels and fill with white.

Open Paper10, right click on the paper in your layers palette and go to “Promote Background Layer”.  Now copy the Mask and paste it onto the paper, select the mask, float and defloat it, click on the paper to activate it, invert the selection and hit delete.  Copy the masked paper,  paste it onto your canvas,  resize it 65%. You can delete the original mask/paper as we won’t need them again.

Copy Smudged1 and paste it as a new layer and resize 75%, place in position and apply a drop shadow of vertical 0, horizontal 2, opacity 85, blur 10.

Copy Frame2, paste a as a new layer and resize 50%.  Select the interior of the frame with your magic wand, expand the selection by 20 and make a new layer below it.  Copy Paper5 and paste it into the selection, deselect, apply the drop shadow to the frame (change the horizontal and blur settings) and merge the frame down onto the paper.

Paste your tube as a new layer, resize as needed, place in position and apply the drop shadow.  I resized my tube 25%.

Paste Ground as a new layer, resize 75%, drag below the tube and place in position.

Paste Netting as a new layer, resize 57%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste Ribbon3 as a new layer,  resize 60%, flip, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste ShoeString as a new layer, resize 60%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste Ribbon1 as a new layer, resize 55%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste Grass2 as a new layer, resize 70%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste Leaves1 as a new layer, resize 65%, flip, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste Flowers2 as a new layer, resize 60%, rotate 90 degrees to the left, mirror, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste Lamp as a new layer, resize 70%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste BucketCluster as a new layer, resize 45%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste Bottle as a new layer, resize 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Check the positions of your layers and make any necessary adjustments.

Paste Cloud as a new layer, resize 70%, drag down to just above the merged frame layer and place in position.

When you are done, crop your tag, add your copyright information and text, then export on a transparent background as a png.
